If you know us from VineGogh, then you’ve probably heard us talking (for a while now) about some exciting new projects in the works. Well, here we are.

MakerFrames is our new branch-off business focused on laser cut frame designs, custom craft projects, and eventually, complete kits. We’ve reorganized our studio space to make room for production and are officially taking things into the ecommerce world with plans to sell not just here in Highland, IL, but nationwide as well.

No worries studio fans! We still have all the great workshops and art classes available!

Right now, we’re launching with a growing collection of faux stained glass style frames, made from laser cut birch and paired with clear backer sheets and printed instructions. These are perfect for resin, crushed glass, or other creative filler materials whether you’re crafting at home, hosting a workshop, or running your own studio. Full kits will come later, but these ready-to-pour frames are already available to ship.

You can shop directly through this site, securely and easily. If you’re local, you can choose in studio pickup at VineGogh in Highland during regular hours or by appointment. If you’re not, we ship anywhere in the lower U.S.

We’re also in the early stages of launching our new YouTube channel, Makers Unframed, where Nick and I, along with other local artists and makers, will be sharing stories, tutorials, experiments, behind the scenes processes, and creative insight. The goal is to keep it real, sharing how we and others make it work creatively without pretending it’s always easy or picture-perfect.
